About The Book Nerd

Hi everyone! I'm Macky D. and this is my blog.

The Book Nerd is the first blog I have ever started and I am very excited for what may come out of it in the future! I have been writing books, stories, and random things for a few years now and I've been reading for even longer. 

I read extremly fast so I do it often. (getting multiple three-hundred page books from the library and reading them all within a week is terrible) This blog is a spot for me to share my thoughts and discoveries on anything related to books! 

My Reading Journey

When I was younger I hated reading. I never wanted to do it and I only did because I had to. I missed out on many great opportunities because of it. It wasn't long after when I realized that I didn't like reading because I was only reading the books I was forced to read for school. 

Now I choose what I want to read I love doing it and I do it all the time too! A few summers ago all I did was read. I barely even went anywhere because I was too busy reading. I would read for three to four hours a day that summer.

I have read books of many different genres, sizes, lengths (some of them being around 600 pages), authors, dates written, and reading difficulty.

What You Can Expect

In this blog I will cover a variety of topics including the various genres of books: history, fantasy, autobiographies, sci-fi, romance, and mystery.

In addition to that I will cover some movies, and other topics that are realated to books in some way. I will also talk about book related holidays and authors. 

I may post different poems or stories I am writting or trying to figre out.
